Environment Reintegration and Awareness-Based Art Therapy for Rural Elderly

ERA - Pioneer of the Mobile Art Therapy Center, which aims to meet the unique needs of elderly people in remote regions.

This initiative aims to build and equip the facility, ensuring that it is accessible and equipped with the necessary resources.

The project aims to provide more opportunities for rural seniors by nurturing their mental and emotional health.

OBJECTIVES

Promote active lifestyles for seniors: Encourage older people in rural areas to remain physically, mentally and socially active by participating in art therapy classes.

Encourage creativity and artistic expression: Provide opportunities for elderly participants to engage in creative activities such as painting, drawing and modelling so that they can express themselves and unleash their artistic potential.

Improve well-being and quality of life: Improve the mental, emotional and social well-being of older people by providing therapeutic opportunities for self-expression and emotional processing.

Promote environmental awareness: Use recycled materials and natural components in art therapy sessions to raise awareness about environmental conservation and sustainability.

Combating social isolation: Create a supportive and inclusive environment where older participants can interact with peers, share experiences, and build meaningful relationships.
