ABOUT US
The Education, Research and Consultancy Centre (ERCC) is a non-governmental, non-profit adult education organisation operating in Western Lithuania since 2006. ERCC was founded by a group of university lecturers and researchers with the aim of providing training and conducting research for businesses, government agencies, schools and NGOs.
Over time, the activities expanded and the organisation began to work not only with adults but also with young people.
Informal education for youth and adults. ERCC specialists and freelance lecturers conduct practical seminars on the following topics: stress management, anxiety reduction, effective communication, emotional intelligence, conflict and problem solving, team building, creative thinking, time management, leadership, artificial intelligence in education, intergenerational relations, awareness and many others. In training, we use active and experiential teaching methods, such as role-playing games, storytelling, simulation, world café. We also like creative and unusual teaching methods – artistic activities, imagination exercises, exercises with therapy dogs, games, coaching methods. The ERCC team is always looking for new teaching methods for youth and adults. Half of ERCC educators have an academic doctorate.
Research. ŠTKC conducts quantitative and qualitative scientific research. The organization has the most experience in the field of qualitative research, using methods such as semi-structured interviews, focus groups and observation. ŠTKC researchers are involved in many EU projects. They actively participate in various national and international conferences – read scientific papers, publish articles in scientific journals. Often, research conducted during projects becomes the basis for scientific articles and at the same time contributes to the dissemination of the project.
Internships. Since the very beginning of the organisation's establishment, ERCC has acted as an expert in mobility projects in Western Lithuania. The organisation has implemented internships under the previous Leonardo da Vinci and the current Erasmus+ program. ERCC has organized internships, study visits and trainings in business enterprises, schools and other institutions for teachers and students of vocational schools in the following areas: information technologies (3D printing, website development), maritime sector, hotels, catering (including molecular cuisine courses), massage, cosmetics, inclusive education.
